"Omar Benjelloun" is one of the most prominent political figures in modern Moroccan history. He was challenging everything that would affect the working class. He was beaten, tortured, and imprisoned several times. Sentenced to death and pardoned. He was imprisoned several times in political detention centers until he was assassinated in the public street in 1975 while he was on a close visit to his mother in Casablanca.
